Litfuse Review- If I run by Terri Blackstock

post signatureWow. You know those Mondays that make you question why you do anything? Yeah, today is one of those days. I had SIX book reviews to write up, an order to crochet, and an essay to write. UGH. Thank you Lord for making this year a leap year!

                    *Summary*

Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore.

But what is the truthThat’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.
Casey Cox doesn’t fit the profile of a killer. But are Dylan’s skewed perceptions keeping him from being objective? If she isn’t guilty, why did she run?

Unraveling her past and the evidence that condemns her will take more time than he has, but as Dylan’s damaged soul intersects with hers, he is faced with two choices: the girl who occupies his every thought is a psychopathic killer . . . or a selfless hero. And the truth could be the most deadly weapon yet.

   *My Thoughts*

Wow. Yet another intense suspense story, I think I need a serious break after this! I don't think it's healthy to feel my heartbeat through my whole body but I don't think miss Terri would mind the reaction to much.

This was so good! I have only read a few of Terri's books but I must say, she is a fabulous story teller! SHe manages to install heart and depth into her stories without decreasing the intense level of edge of your seat suspense needed in a book like this.

I've always had a real heart for characters like Dylan. People like Dylan, actually. People so discouraged or damaged in their own mind that they feel beyond repair. Like there is no hope. I love when I can close a book with a sigh of relief that someone who felt lost, has found their purpose. A deeper meaning for their life, and the love of Christ. It makes my heart happy and it's what makes a good book, a great one to me.

Well done miss Blackstock. I love, If I Run, and will be anxiously awaiting your next works of art!

                *My overall thoughts*

Not only is this book suspenseful in every page, it has a depth to it that alludes a lot of suspense authors. I think it's going to take a lot to surpass the love I have for this suspense!

*I received this book from Litfuse, the publisher and the author in exchange for an honest review, which I have given. All thoughts were my own and I was not compensated in any other way.
