Revell Review- On Lonestar Trail by Amanda Cabot

post signature
Hey everyone, I promise, this is the LAST one for today. And...it just might be my favorite...

               *Summary*

A woman without a future. A man running from the past.
One enchanting place where broken dreams are mended.

If there's one thing Gillian Hodge never wants to see again, it's a man on a motorcycle. Her last encounter with one left her right hand crushed, ending her promising career as a concert pianist. Unsure about the next phase in her life, she heads to Rainbow's End Resort for some R&R when a sudden thunderstorm causes a motorcycle to crash right in front of her.

When TJ Benjamin's wife died, he lost more than his best friend; he lost his faith. He has spent the past year wandering the country on his motorcycle, trying not to think about the future. When he finds himself stranded with a busted bike and a reluctant rescuer, he has to wonder about God's sense of humor.

As these broken people collide, they find that a bright future is still ahead--it just might not be the one they imagined for themselves.

   *My Thoughts*

Wow, wow, wow, wow, WOW!! I loved this book so much. Actually, I have loved it ever since I read the preview in her last book. (DON'T do that, by the way, unless you enjoy torture!) I never really cared for authors that wrote contemporary and historical novels because I felt that, a lot of times, there was just too much of a gap. That all changed with Amanda Cabot! I loved her in "Paper Roses" and "Summer of Promise" but I also have fallen in love with this contemporary series!
The covers are gorgeous and her characters are superb! I think Gillian and TJ's story is my favorite. There is just so much they have to overcome to have any kind of future together and their teasing was adorable.

Amanda has done a great job weaving faith through all of her novels, but I think she did the most amazing job with it in this one. There was nothing forced but there was so much healing. It was the perfect blend of romance, healing, faith, and humor. I can't wait to see what Cabot does next!

                *My overall thoughts*

If books were perfect, this would absolutely be it, at least in Cabot's case. Perfectly paced, I read this in one Sunday afternoon and I was sighing in happiness for at least an hour after I put it down. LOVE.

What can I say other than that I'm thrilled that you enjoyed On Lone Star Trail so much? Is it perfect? Probably not, but I'm delighted that you thought it was. Thanks so much for taking the time to read and review my book and for sharing your opinion with others. I appreciate that.
