*Summary*
When Christian Hochstetler returns to the Amish after seven years in captivity, he finds that many things have shifted. *My Thoughts*
This story was fascinating to me...not at all what I expected on page 1.
I expected your typical Amish story, but this was so much more. Filled with historical facts regarding Christian's life with the indians during the French/Indian War, this was deeper, but on a very engaging level.
The pov is surprisingly told from the male protagonist, Christian, and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. I feel that even the male reader would enjoy this wonderful, if unexpected Amish tale.
