*My Thoughts*
Finally! A suspense story that evenly balances the romance and suspense. I am all for the mystery/intrigue of a suspense story...but pleassseee give me a sweet love story to follow alongside it!
This story did not disappoint. Irene is one of my go-to suspense writers for this reason. I am a big historical fiction fan and don't get suspense books often, but Irene always makes her way to my mailbox!
The plotline was realistic but kept me spinning well into the night as I fought sleep to finish it. Well worth the read, this book is easily picked up in the middle of a series. I did not read book one but did not have a problem following the story at all.
