Egglow review- Eggcellent adventures By Darcie Cobos

Morning y'all! This is going to be a shorter review because I have a long "to be reviewed" pile & because this one is for your kiddo so it's a whole lot shorter then some of the other books I read! :)

 Follow Hardy, Anastasia, Pascal and their dog, Zeke, as they discover a glow-rious mystery. Snooping around the attic, they find an intriguing treasure chest containing a curious glowing Easter egg. What is it? What does it do? Only when the kids unite as one do they learn the secret of the egg. They are transported around the world on a wondrous adventure to find the greatest treasure of all. Come along on an egg-straordinary expedition, as the kids search for more glowing Easter eggs in exciting locations. Discover where the eggs lead them.

*I loved*

This was such a cool idea! Kids especially young ones around 3 or 4 years old anxiously look forward to Easter every year but seldom do they truly understand the real reason. To a little 4 year old boy, he can't quite grasp the miracle of what Jesus did on the cross but plastic eggs filled with candy and treats? That's something they understand and also something Darcie Cobos had in mind when she wrote this book. It sheds a whole new light on the Easter story-and gives children a clearer understanding of what Easter is really, truly about. The scripture was really what made the story perfect for little minds.

Honestly, when I read this book description, I was a little skeptical. Fortunately, it was a fabulous book for young and old.

*My overall thoughts*

Eggcellent Adventures by Darcie Cobos is a sweet adventure story that combines a child's love of easter egg hunts (and candy!) with a more complex, truer understanding of what Easter truly is and plenty of scripture to back it up. Wonderful story for young or old!

DARCIE COBOS is a 24-year veteran police detective, specializing in family violence. Darcie's passion for reaching children with the message of Jesus led her to become founder and CEO of Egglo Entertainment, whose slogan is, See the Light of Jesus Clearly in the Dark. At Egglo she has developed an innovative, new children's ministry program for churches and families, featuring glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunts that focus on Jesus. Her mission with Egglo is to develop childhood experiences and learning that lead to a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. 

While working closely with her church's children's ministry, Darcie funded renovations of the children's play yard and provided the playground structure that launched mentoring moms and parenting groups. She also funded her children's school baseball ministry program. She hopes to continue God's Kingdom work with the profits of her company.
