Barbour Review- The Captive Heart by Michelle Griep

Hey peeps! It has been a very, VERY wet week. (Thanks Matthew!) At least it's perfect reading weather! Are you feeling the effects of Matthew? Prayers to all those in FL and the Carolinas!

Proper English governess Eleanor Morgan flees to the colonies to escape the wrath of a an angry duke. When the Charles Town family she’s to work for never arrives to collect her from the dock, she is forced to settle for the only reputable choice remaining to her—marriage to a man she’s never met. Trapper and tracker Samuel Heath is a hardened survivor used to getting his own way by brain or by brawn, and he’s determined to find a mother for his young daughter. But finding a wife proves to be impossible. No upstanding woman wants to marry a murderer.
                *My Thoughts*
I was actually really suprised at how much I loved this book! The summary was pretty intriguing, so I got it figuring on a quick read to keep me busy until the book I really wanted got here.
The truth is was really, really good! I'd never read anything by this author before, but I will be now!
I was super unsure about Samuel in the beginning. Something about him...gruff, surly, rough around the edges. He absolutely grew on me!
Throughout the story I was wondering what was going to happen, and sighing happily when I was pleasantly surprised. Pick this one won't regret it!

    *My Rating*

I give The Captive Heart by Michelle Griep...

                             5 stars!!

I received this book free of charge from the author.

Happy Reading,
