Good morning all!! This morning for the first night in a while, I slept GOOD. Like, REALLY good and one word that came to mind as I was getting ready for the day was GRACE. What is Grace? Websters has it's own definition. What's yours? Mine is simply this:
An undeserving person receiving undue favor from God despite what they've done or who they are.
WOW. If that doesn't blow your mind...
This devotional talks about God's grace and power through Salvation...so amazing to think about!

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

*I loved*
This devotional uses the English Standard translation of the Bible and has a wonderful selection of verses picked out for your daily walk with God. I loved the cover as one of the places I see and experience God the most is on early morning walks at the lake during the summer, camping, and this cover depicts that beautifully. I also loved the foreword from Dan Walsh. Wonderful devotional!

*Not my
favorite*
My translation of the Bible is NIV so it didn't correlate with this devotional which is ESV. It wasn't a big issue but I thought I would point it out for those of you who don't use ESV. :)

With a foreword from Bestselling author, Dan Walsh,Jan Blonk writes a wonderful devotional for those wanting to delve deeper into our awesome God's words. Focusing on his grace and power through Salvation, "Unfathomable Gift" is a must for new or "experienced" Christians.

*About the
Author*
I love to write devotionals -- taking a Bible verse and diving into its truth. I was born and raised in the Netherlands. When I was 19 I first entered the U.S. and volunteered at Times Square Church, working on the Raven Truck and at the Upper Room (reaching out to the homeless). I did this for about 1 year. I returned home and started my external degree program with Global University (at that time known as ICI University), while working at the Salvation Army in Rotterdam. In 2001 I had the opportunity to pursue my degree program on a work scholarship at Conservative Theological Seminary in Jacksonville. Part of the scholarship and the degree program was also teaching various biblical and theological subjects. I got married to Rachel in 2007 and we have two children. Currently we reside in the Daytona Beach area where we attend Christ Community Church.
*I received this
book from bookcrash and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. All
thoughts were my own and I was not compensated in any other way.
Don't forget to give me your definition of grace in the comments! Have a favorite verse on the grace or awesomeness of God? Post that too!
Happy Reading,
Nicki
