Happy Monday! In all the chaos of this year, and all the changes, one of the best blessings has been the steady flow of amazing stories coming out to bookshelves everywhere. Don't believe me? Check out my review on Susan May Warren's newest! It blows my mind how quickly she turns out books...and each one feels even better than the last.

 *My Thoughts*

                              The last book in a good series often evokes conflicting thoughts and feelings in me. Excitement to continue the journey, happiness to be with characters I’ve spent a great deal of time with, and extreme sadness when the last page is finally turned. The Price of Valor is no exception! Emotions and mystery run wild through every page and I was hooked from the beginning. Every time I felt I had the mystery sorted out, another twist was thrown in and I was flipping pages one after another to reach the conclusion. 

Hamilton has fascinated me throughout this series. His ultra secretive demeanor and his obvious over protectiveness of his daughter kept drawing me in and I couldn’t wait to find out more about Signe and what happened to bring them where they were. The heart pounding suspense of the story perfectly entangled itself with the sweet, broken moments to create an enrapturing storyline worth every second of lost sleep.

Susan did an amazing job of building suspense through the series without giving it all away...the story still ended up surprising me in all the best ways. And as usual, a thread of forgiveness and redemption was woven through the story without being overbearing or pushy in the least. 

Susan has the true gift of story, drawing you in and making you feel at home in every page and with every character. Each time her books come out, I think there is no way for it to ever top the last, and each time, I am pleasantly surprised. The Price of Valor, and the whole Global Search and Rescue series, are well worth your time, your money, and that last bit of space left on your bookshelf. You won’t be disappointed!
